We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Account data
- Your name and email address
- Authentication tokens (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In)
2.2 Pet data
- Pet name, species, breed, date of birth, sex, neutering status
- Weight history and body condition score (BCS)
- Activity level, target weight, and diet settings (including low-fat diet preference)
- Custom dog food products you add (name, nutritional values per 100 g)
2.3 Nutrition and activity data
- Meal logs: products, portions, calories, protein, fat, calcium, and phosphorus
- Walk records: date, duration, and notes you enter
- Daily calorie targets and analytics derived from the data above
2.4 Technical data
- Device type and operating system (for crash reporting and compatibility)
- App version
- Error logs (do not contain detailed meal or pet health narratives)
We do not collect precise GPS location, advertising identifiers, or behavioural tracking data inside the mobile app.
2.5 Website analytics (Google Analytics)
When you visit our website/landing pages, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used and to improve it. This may involve processing:
- Pages viewed and interaction events (e.g. clicks)
- Approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser information
- Referrer/traffic source
- Cookie identifiers (where cookies are enabled)
Where required by law, we use Google Analytics only after obtaining your consent (for example via a cookie banner). You can also control cookies via your browser settings.

Anonymised pet data. We may aggregate anonymised nutrition and weight records (species, breed, age in months, weight values) to improve reference data used in the app. This data cannot be linked back to you or your pet.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Supabase servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt or Dublin region).
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
- Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
- We retain your data in accordance with the following rules:
- Data is retained for the duration of the subscription, and would be deleted within 30โ90 days after end of subscription.
- Deleted accounts โ all data is permanently removed within 90 days of account deletion, except where we are required to retain it by applicable law.
5. Sharing Data with Third Parties
We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
When data is transferred to the USA (Apple, Google), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the transfer mechanism under GDPR Art. 46.
6. Your Rights
If you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the following rights under GDPR / UK GDPR:
- Access โ request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification โ correct inaccurate data
- Erasure โ request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability โ receive your data in a machine-readable format (PDF export is available directly in the app)
- Restriction โ ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Objection โ object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent โ where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a resident of California, USA, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may apply to you. Under the CCPA, you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal data.
To exercise your rights, contact legal@ailesco.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by the CCPA.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
